Trolls, lads and online porn dominate the perception and pressures of young men in our society. Women have, and continue to, engineer transformation of their identity, status, rights and opportunities, and yet these regressive trends put a spanner in the works and prevent progressing towards women's liberation and genuine equality. Jacob Armstrong seeks to examine these phenomena from a feminist perspective, and why we should consign the adage 'boys will be boys' to the recycling bin and revolutionise male sexual, social and domestic roles. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
