I begin putting together the 2016 Ford 6R80 4WD transmission, starting with an overview of the build then moving into each subassembly, showing you the process step by step. This includes the pump, front drum complex (forward and overdrive drums and their respective hubs, front gear set), direct clutch, center support (intermediate clutch and low-reverse piston assembly) and finish up with an overview of the rear case components include the rear planetary carrier assembly, mechanical diode and low-reverse clutch pack. I also include the installation and set up of the Raybestos TorquePak for the overdrive clutch. Lastly, I show the differences between the Ford/ZF Ravigneaux rear planetary assembly to the General Motors 6L Ravigneaux rear planetary group.
