Shayla is back with our Monday footage at Mud Run Meadow. The day started with feeding the cats in the basement, Evie on the porch, and the bunnies in the big barn before heading to the cow barn for morning chores. Dwayne surprised us by deciding today was the day to venture out into the snow—apparently he’s tired of living in the barn. The highland cows were let out next, though Harlow and Bridgett took their sweet time leaving the barn before finally joining the rest of the herd for their morning hay. Shayla fed and watered the chickens next and even left their small doors open to see if they wanted to spend time outside. During coop cleaning, Felicia was the only bantam out and followed Shayla back into the coop while it was being cleaned. A few of the big chickens were enjoying the snow too, and their coop was cleaned as well. The bunny area was cleaned while Luca handed out special treats, and the kids took care of the cow barn chores. Dwayne decided to head back into the barn once the activity picked up. We also share an update on Tommie, who isn’t feeling well and may have an ear infection. He has a vet appointment tomorrow and we’re hopeful he’ll start feeling better soon. At bedtime, Shayla fed the cats, gave the bunnies their hay cubes, filled the cows’ stalls with treats, and let them in for the night. While the cows were eating, the chickens were closed up. Shayla also gave an update on Bridgett Bootcamp. Due to the cold temperatures and a setback on the ice, training is temporarily paused—but plans are in place to start fresh once swim season is over. The night ended with Shayla telling the cows goodnight and closing the barn tight. Thanks for spending part of your day with us, and we’ll see you next week. #farmchores #dairyfarm #highlandcows #winterfarm #farmlife #homesteadlife #mudrunmeadow #dailychores #cowsofyoutube #chickensofyoutube #farmvlog #countryliving #winterchores #smallfarm #familyfarm
