Real humility isn't thinking less of yourself, it's seeing God clearly. When God is holy, we stop pretending we're fine. In this video, we talk about true Biblical humility and the fake kind that wears a "religious" mask. Because there's a humility that bows low and trusts Jesus, and there's a "humility" that's really pride with better manners. One leads to grace, the other quietly tries to self-save. True humility looks like this: God is God, I'm not. I admit my need. I receive what I can't earn. Then I walk in quiet obedience, not to prove myself, but because I've been loved. False humility can sound like: "I'm nothing, I don't matter," while still clinging to control. It can hide idol worship (image, approval, comfort), or works-based righteousness (I'll be okay if I do enough). It can even use church language to avoid honest repentance. God doesn't play along with that. Scripture says, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble" (James4:6, 1 Peter5:5). That's both sobering and hopeful. If you've ever wondered: Am I repenting, or just managing appearances? Am I trusting Jesus, or trusting my effort? Do I want God, or do I want God to bless my plans? This one's for you. Stay to the end for a simple way to test your motives without spiraling into shame, and a clear call back to Christ. Read the entire article here: https://theholyspirit.us/humility .
