Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDA), also known as Nondisclosure Agreements (NDA), are contracts that ensure certain information disclosed in discussions or transmissions is kept confidential and is only used for the limited purposes defined in the terms. CDAs are critical to the research enterprise at a university as they protect our researchers’ confidential information and provide a mechanism for accessing a third-party’s confidential information.
