The human brain has more connection between neurons than there are stars in the universe. How can we describe thinking, emotions and memory? It is easy to describe one neuron, it is quite complicated to describe many neurons – but if you know the laws of synchronisation, it is simple and easy. Fireflies can synchronize their flashing, just like neurons their electrical action-potential. The key of understanding the brain is to know how synchronisation in the brain works. As a result, we can explain a thought, creativity and thinking. Feelings can be explained too, but they are not a result of synchronisation – the can help that thoughts are appear. If you understand synchronisation of neurons, you can explain the human brain, intelligence and stupidity. For him physics does not end with his research in experimental physics at the University of Vienna or his work as director of the planetarium Vienna – he sees and wonders about the physics in everything, even the most ordinary things. That is how funny and informative bits such as "Die Physik des Gulasch". Through his work and his numerous writings and TV- and radio-columns he sparked interest for physics in many and thus he was awarded the price for national education by the city of Vienna.
