In a shocking incident, Japanese PM Fumio Kishida was rushed to safety after a suspect threw what appeared to be a smoke bomb. A loud explosion was heard, but the premier took cover while police subdued a man at the scene, reported Japanese media NHK. Video footage released by NHK showed public fleeing and a man being arrested following the incident. As per NHK, PM Kishida was about to give an outdoor speech in Japanese port city of Wakayama. Expressing relief, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi prayed for his continued well-being and good health.
