Gameplay, soundtrack, graphics and level design are amazing for a game from 1997. MDK is a third-person shooter in which you must save the earth from an alien invasion. Aliens are using gigantic strip mining vehicles named "Minecrawlers" that are removing all of Earth's natural resources, and are crushing any people and cities that get in their way. With the help of a (possibly) insane scientist, Dr. Fluke Hawkins, and a genetically engineered robotic dog named Max, who are aboard a space station in orbit, you must infiltrate each Minecrawler and fight your way to the pilot, whom you must kill before returning to the space station. Using Dr. Hawkins' latest invention, the bullet repelling "coil suit", you are dispatched on a "Mission: Deliver Kindness", entering the Minecrawlers from above, and destroying them from the inside. Once you kill the pilot, the Mincrawler self-destructs and is sucked back into the energy stream from which it emerged, taking you with it. To prevent you from being taken off-world, Max will enter the stream and pull you out.
