This shows a fairly safe setup with both terrain / poison and spike damage protection. Setup involves rage purging Cloud Sea Befouler Ioth and then doing repeated chain attacks via a party gauge optimized setup. Rex will likely fall at some point in battle and video shows how to recover. This video is not meant to show a fast setup. Battle Strategy: To reduce terrain / poison damage to 0, you need to 1) get all 3 shop deeds that reduce terrain by 10% each, 2) equip driver terrain accessory, and 3) equip blade terrain aux core / mod on active blades. All the effects will stack to 100%. Drivers can wear any other drivers' terrain accessories. Blades can wear any other blades' terrain aux cores / mods. Appearances may not change but the effects will apply. This is how to get other blades protected. Ioth enrages early in battle. Key is to do Corvin's Lv2 special to purge rage status to allow for improved damage output. Ioth does NOT enrage again (unlike some other enemies). Corvin's Lv2 does appear to fail at times. Ioth ALSO does spike damage at start and is NOT affected by rage status. Spike defense V aux cores / mods will reduce this to 1. The party is set up for fast party gauge gains after specials. Keep doing chain attacks until you win. Rex is relatively fragile. If he goes down, simply revive him and fill up gauge again. Corvin's Lv1 will keep the party healed in and out of chain attacks. Setup: Zeke: Lv99, both driver charts filled, burst symbol (chain attack damage), crystal earrings (party gauge boost), surfinator zeke (may use any terrain damage lowering gear), clicky-clacks (boost specials recharge for party gauge), crispy blendshake (boost party gauge) Corvin: S+, tachyon chip (mainly based on looks, may also use sunlight chip or moon matter chip), affinity max atk vi, spike defense v, radiant beach mythra (may use any terrain damage reducing aux core) Rex: Lv99, both driver charts filled, burst symbol, crystal earrings, cloud sea shark rex (may use any terrain damage lowering gear), crispy blendshake and lentil milkshake (boost party gauge) T-elos: S+, tachyon chip, affinity max atk vi, spike defense v, pro swimmer pyra (may use any terrain damage reducing aux core) Morag: Lv99, both driver charts filled, burst symbol, crystal earrings, obligatory leave morag (may use any terrain damage lowering gear), crispy blendshake and lentil milkshake Kos-Mos: S+, tachyon chip, affinity max atk vi, spike defense v, water lily brighid (may use any terrain damage reducing aux core)
