This episode of A Place for the Love to Go is about this spoon made by my dad. I use it to make my cyanotype wonder journals, so that’s what we’re making for this project. I’ve also included some wild things collected during a hike on what would have been my dad’s 70th birthday this past October, and some papers from a sketchpad I had when I was a kid. This series of projects is turning out to be more beautiful than I expected. I've been able to process a lot of emotions throughout each project. I babbled a lot during each stage of this project, but didn't include all of my thoughts in the final video because some things were just meant for me to experience on my own. As I'm thinking about the options for my next project, I'm also wondering what all of this kicks up for you. Do you have anything from a departed loved one that sparks a creative idea? Do you have a piece of art or a book or a sweater (or anything) that reminds you of someone who's passed? I'd love to hear your stories, friends.
