It's been a little over a year of using the Landscape Fm Noon so I figured I would do a review video. There ends up being not that much reviewing done. I just show how I've been using it lately. It's very hard to remember what does what on this thing. Overall I rate the Noon at like a 1/10 or 8/10 depending on what type of synthesist you are. If the parameters for each channel were able to be CV controlled I would rate it a 9/10. It's very fun but challenging and frustrating at times. I view it as equal parts puzzle, game, and instrument. The passive nature of the machine means that you either need to use a lot of mixer/audio interface channels for the separate outs or deal with the signal robbing and channel bleed that comes with the passive mixing to main outs on the unit. As for the price of the unit I think it's somewhat overpriced as you end up needing a lot of other gear to fully use the thing. You can use it with just a 9V battery or basic CV sequencer but it really shines when used with a considerable amount of other equipment. I wouldn't recommend this to synth beginners or people who are sensitive to abrasive sounds but someone with an open mind for electronic experimentation might find it very fulfilling.
