Swimming in a Volcano Crater | Cerro Chato in Arenal, Costa Rica

Subscribe here: https://www.youtube.com/c/Bennyhbk?su... We started off the day with a quick 10-minute drive from downtown La Fortuna to La Fortuna Waterfalls. It costs $15 US per person for entry into the falls. You are allowed to swim around the base of the falls, but not underneath or behind them. After this, we make the grueling trek back up the stairs to find the entrance to Cerro Chato Volcano hike. It takes about 80 minutes of hiking through farm fields and muddy jungle before you reach the mouth of a Volcano Crater and are able to go for a refreshing swim. After the hike, we had some Chifa (Chinese-Peruvian Fusion) food in downtown La Fortuna. We then hopped on the road to Arenal, and pulled over at Rio Chollin for a dip in some Costa Rican Hot Springs in a river off to the side of the road.
