This video is about the spectrum alignment of the Salty Pops schedule / settings on my AI Prime 16HD. It will show all the what, how, and why behind the schedule design and what benefits this schedule brings to my reef tank. This spectrum was designed to mimic a T5 bulb reef tank. The goal was to pull in all the proven spectrums that T5 bulbs have delivered over the years. Some LEDs are plug and play like Reef Brite Blue XHO, taking all the guess work out of programming. However, more and more they are becoming customizable like the lights offered by Aquaillumination in their prime and hydra series. Reefers have been given all the control to create their own designer light spectrums which has produced both good and bad results. With my bulb tanks, I would typically run a few hours of blue then either my 2 daylight T5’s would kick on or an MH bulb would kick on for 5 hours then have a few hours of blue again before the end of the night. This is what I created the Salty Pops schedule to mimic. Looking at the Salty Pops light schedule, I have a few hours of blue, followed by 5 hours of white, and then a few hours of blue to end the day.
