What is Galaflex? Galaflex P4HB is a polymer, a synthetic support system that is bioengineered to mimic products in our body. Why would someone have Galaflex during a breast surgery? It is used as surgical scaffolding to reinforce soft tissue at the time of surgery. Is Galaflex safe? Yes, this is mesh similar to sutures used in the operating room. Is Galaflex permanent?
