This was an incredible experience. Staying in Patikul Sulu with a Tausug Family! This video starts on the island of Siasi, where we explore a bit more of the town including their very unique tricycles. After some good vibes and coffee, we take the boat back to mainland. Along the way, we are hit by a storm, and end up battling through rain all the way to Jolo. After a little bit of shopping in Jolo Sulu, we make our way to our friend's relatives home in Patikul. Yes, this part of Sulu was known to be very critical in the past... you can simply research "Patikul" online to learn more about that. But now, things have changed, and I get the opportunity to see first hand just how beautiful the Tausug community is. Being invited to a Tausug home overnight in Patikul Sulu was an amazing experience. This video is a raw look at more beautiful learning experiences in Sulu.
