Watch Daniel J. Nichols from Jennison Associates, Adrian Helfert and Mike Yan from Westwood Wealth Management dive into Large Cap Growth Stocks and the impact of AI on market trends. Daniel J. Nichols Managing Director, Client Portfolio Manager Mr. Nichols is a Client Portfolio Manager across several Jennison equity strategies. He serves as a subject matter expert and representative of the investment teams. Dan joined Jennison is 2004. Previously, he was Director of Portfolio Management at NetBank. Dan also served in the U.S. Navy as a surface warfare officer. He received a BS in systems engineering, summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the University of Arizona. Adrian Helfert CIO, Wealth, Alternative & Multi-Asset Investments Mr. Helfert is Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, Alternative and Multi-Asset Portfolios at Westwood. Having originally joined Westwood in 2019, he oversees multiple strategies with portfolio management and leadership responsibilities across the Multi-Asset continuum, including our flagship, Income Opportunity. Throughout his career, Mr. Helfert has developed a strong track record working on collaborative, global teams. Before joining Westwood, he served as managing director and senior multi-asset portfolio manager at Amundi Smith Breeden in London, where he was responsible for Global Fixed Income strategies. During his 13-year Amundi tenure, Mr. Helfert also was an investment team leader on absolute return, unconstrained and total return portfolios across multiple asset classes, including equity and fixed income. Before joining Amundi, he worked at Royal Bank of Scotland and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Mr. Helfert earned his MBA from Duke University and his BA in physics from the University of Virginia, where he was awarded a fellowship for his work in solid state physics. He also served in the U.S. Navy/Marine Corps as a combat medic. He actively serves on the Board of Directors for the Denver Children’s Advocacy Center. Mike Yan Vice President, Client Portfolio Manager Mr. Yan joined Westwood in 2023 as a Client Portfolio Manager in the Wealth department. He chairs the Investment Oversight Committee and is a voting member of the Strategic Asset Allocation Committee and Private Investment Committee. Before joining Westwood, Mr. Yan worked at the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System as a senior investment officer and was responsible for restructuring the private investments of the portfolio. Prior to that, he worked for Sentinel Trust Company as a fixed income portfolio manager and managed a portfolio of municipal securities. He began his career as a securitized analyst at Capital One, where he focused on MBS and ABS. Mr. Yan earned his BA in mathematics with a certificate in business administration from Saint Louis University and his MS in statistics and finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He lives in University Park with his wife and enjoys traveling to the beach and playing tennis.
