Welcome to the seventh episode of Stranger Tunes, a series in which I get a few strangers to play along to a song I send them. This one has a truly global feel in that the artists joining me are from California, Minnesota, Alabama, Sweden and, um, The Wirral. Initially I got Marcus Carter and Steve Amadeo involved on drums and bass respectively and then asked my friend Dean Dichoso if he fancied adding some guitars. He did, and he also offered to mix the song. I then told Dean I was hoping to have a female vocal and some fiddle on it and he invited singer/songwriter Jessica Meuse and violinist Sedra Bistodeau to get involved, both strangers to each other and to me at the time. As I type neither Marcus nor Steve know about the American contingent and this makes me very happy. The song is 24 Frames by one of my favourite singer/songwriters Jason Isbell. Please check out the original and lots more of his stuff. All the artists do these for nothing, but all have charities they like to support. If you would like to donate to the chosen charities of the respective artists you can do so here: Jessica: Favorhouse of Northwest Florida http://favorhouse.org Sedra: Christina Grimmie Foundation https://christinagrimmie.com/#!/ Dean: Childhelp https://www.childhelp.org/ Steve: Clatterbridge Cancer Charity https://www.clatterbridgecc.nhs.uk/ch...
