This was nuts. I was hoping it would work and it did! for around $5, I was able to Blackout the midsole of the adidas 4D futurecraft 3D printed midsole! Here is what you need to make this happen: any adidas 4D shoes https://bit.ly/30RbNW1 I used the ZX4000 4D in this vid https://bit.ly/30RbNW1 Rit Synthetic Dye https://amzn.to/2ZJdjNc Sharpie Oil Based https://amzn.to/2N38gQV Seam Ripper https://amzn.to/3152Rfu stainless pot https://amzn.to/2ZXbl6Z Here are the Steps to complete this: heat up water on stove till hot (boiling not needed) remove from heat place shoes in stainless steel pot, I moved my pot in my garage to avoid staining kitchen let sit 30 mins at least. rinse off dye in COLD water. Let dry. use oil based or any black paint to go over colored thread if wanted. use seam ripper to remove tongue tag if desired. thats it! ** NOTE if you heat up too much the shoes CAN shrink a little, may be good to go up .5 for better fit, also can use shoe tree to stretch out after dye.
