Have you ever tried to move your pictures from your iCloud account to your PC desktop only to encounter problem after problem? The HEIC images taking forever to load as a preview; pictures and videos being completely out of chronological order making it almost impossible to sort them; some pictures being synced and available while others never end up syncing? Don’t worry because I developed an easy 6-step process that I'm going to walk you through, click by click, so you can avoid the hassle and headaches that I had to endure. Process 1. Click "Pictures" then "iCloud Photos" then Right click on thumbnail. Click “Always Keep on this Device”. There should be a √ next to it. 2. Right click "Group Pictures" then click "Status". Media will be sorted into "Always Available on this Device" and "Sync Pending". 3. Copy and paste pictures/videos with green checkmark in “Always Available” category into a newly created folder on your desktop. 4. After pics/vids have been copied to desktop folder, right click then select “Sort by” and click “more...” to create a new sort option. 5. Scroll down until you find "Date modified". Then right click then “Sort by” then select newly created “Date modified” option. 6. Wait and let pics/vids sort. If pics aren't sorting, close folder and re-open. Once completed, restart computer to refresh folder. Pictures should now be in chronological order. 7. Cut and paste pics/vids into folders and store on external hard drive. I didn't realize this until I was editing the video. I as going to delete and re-record, but I actually really love how the video turned out, and since nothing critical was covered by the second mini screen, I decided to keep the video as is and upload it. Lesson learned for my next video. #howto #diy #educational #tutorial #walkthrough #helpful #tips #techtips #icloud #apple #pc #desktop #photomanagement #cloudcomputing
