Of course it had to be the one you guys voted for, it’s the one I was most nervous about writing English for haha… It has some strange lyrics as expected of O-Tae, so I was wondering “How on earth am I gonna do this.” But… surprisingly it ended up coming mostly pretty naturally? I wrote English lyrics for a song called Clover Club a few years ago (that sadly got lost when my hard drive failed) that’s stated by the producer to be absolute nonsense, and that song was pretty fun to write for because I felt like I could play pretty fast and loose with it. This song kinda felt the same for me, and it’s because it’s from Hanazono Land haha ;7; I was happy if I could think of a way to make the key words make sense and fit in with English! (This is the same thing I’m experiencing with Hello Happy World songs so far too--) As for some notes, there’s a line at the end where it’s “himitsu no hanazono”? So Tae’s last name means “flower garden,” and himitsu is secret. So I wanted to try to find a way to say that it’s HER secret flower garden, or perhaps she IS a flower garden of secrets, because it’s her name…? But without just… saying her name again, because in this line it’s about what her name means. So that’s what I was trying to go for there.
