Gerlachovský štít (2,655 m above sea level) is the highest peak and one of the largest massifs in the Tatras, Slovakia, and the entire Carpathians. It lies in the southeastern part of Zadní Gerlach, from which it is separated by Gerlachovské sedlo. From the top, the ridge continues to Kotlový štít, where it branches off and forms the famous Gerlachov kettle hole. When you decide to visit here be sure you'll have your mountain guide. This place is VERY DANGEROUS and physically very exacting! In the last two weeks when I shot this video, passed away 3 people in this area. Be safe with your professional guide. I don't recommend going here alone without a professional mountain guide. If you need a professional guide, contact me at any time, and I'll answer as soon as possible. The Guide has to be ordered and reserved a few days before hiking. Attention: You need to have extra insurance for climbing on hills plus for mountain rescue service!
