Yoga is amazing for your body! It creates strength, flexibility, and balance, which all become even more important as we age! Falls from muscle loss, lack of balance, and inflexibility often lead to decreased mobility, loss of independence and a significant decline in overall quality of life. Muscle mass and certain stretches like the squat are also linked to a healthy longevity. For those of you who feel you are of an intermediate fitness level this is the power yoga video for you! Please remember that yoga is called a practice for a reason. When you first start you most likely won't be able to do all the things and that's ok. If you stick with it long enough you will progress to completing all of it, we all start somewhere. In yoga you do what feels right for your body and keep practicing and work your way up! Just remember if you show up for yourself a little more than you did yesterday that is a win! Its completely fine to skip parts and take breaks while going into poses such as child's pose, which advanced yogi's at a yoga studio will do. Feel free to change it up as you see fit and whatever works best for you! I intentionally made it with no sound so that you could choose to play whatever you like in the background while using the video. ***I am not responsible for any injuries that may occur while doing this video.
