Tulsa Police Officer Shoots Armed Suspect After Tudor House Inn Robbery and Shooting

(Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Tulsa, Oklahoma — On December 27, 2023, at approximately 12:51 a.m., Tulsa Police responded to a 911 call regarding an Armed Robbery at the Tudor House Inn located at 6416 E. Archer. The victim reported being assaulted and robbed by a suspect brandishing a firearm. The suspect also fired the weapon into the air during the incident. Upon arrival, Officers reviewed security footage, which corroborated the victim's account and showed the suspect pointing the pistol at another guest as well. Witness reports confirmed the erratic behavior and gunshots described by the victim. During the initial response, officers secured the perimeter and attempted to establish communication with the suspect. He made contradictory statements and ignored commands. The suspect fired a round in the room while Officers were surrounding the room, it was not clear if he was firing upon Officers. Subsequently, he exited the room by attempting to disguise himself as an old man and fled the scene on foot, prompting a pursuit. The suspect was running towards an area where civilians were present. Since the suspect had already showed no regard for the safety of others, an Officer fired their weapon to stop him from endangering innocent civilians. The suspect was struck once and was immediately apprehended by pursuing Officers. Officers provided medical aid at the scene before the suspect was transported to the hospital for further treatment. Detectives conducted a search of the suspect's room, recovering the firearm believed to be used in the Robbery. Evidence of firearm discharge was also identified within the room. The suspect was identified as Aaron Gonzalez.
