However, more people in the Miami Valley are using that time for a different kind of pick me up -- surgery. It's a new year and Courtney Ward is getting closer to having the body she's always dreamed of. I lost a lot of weight a few years ago. I had gastric bypass surgery. Lost over 100 pounds and I have a lot of loose skin, said Ward.After losing the weight Ward was still not loving her body, but didn't feel comfortable going under the knife, so she visited Pure Elegance Day spa, which specializes in non-invasive surgery. They said it was laser lipo suction so I was like what it this going to entail, said Ward.The owner of Pure Elegance, Tonya Shepherd, tells us the Laser Lipo treatment takes just 30 minutes. No needles are involved and there is no down time. She says more clients are popping in on their lunch break for a quick fix.
