#Switzerland #Grindelwald #KleineScheidegg #Jungfraujoch #Interlaken #Lauterbrunnen This video is a part of our new Jungfraujoch Series. Here, the Wengernalp train's route from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg is shown. This panoramic scenic route starts from a beautiful village of Grindelwald and then goes to present many mountain Peaks (Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau just to name some) with magnificent views of Glaciers and valley. GRINDELWALD: The famous mountain village of Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland lies embedded in a welcoming and green hollow, surrounded by a commanding mountainscape with the Eiger north face and the Wetterhorn. This mountainscape and the numerous lookout points and activities make Grindelwald one of the most popular and cosmopolitan holiday and excursion destinations in Switzerland, and the largest ski resort in the Jungfrau region. It is the diversity of this glacier village that makes it so attractive. A wide range of activities and recreational opportunities amidst unspoiled nature is waiting to be discovered. Some Highlights of Grindelwald region: Grindelwald FIRST, First Cliff Walk, Jungfrau EIGER Walks, Mountain Coaster etc. There are 300 km of walking trails around Grindelwald. The high-altitude walk from Grindelwald-First along the Bachalpsee to the Faulhorn mountain hotel and then on to the Schynige Platte ranks among the most beautiful hikes of the region. An easy walk with fantastic views of the three, world-famous mountains of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau leads from the Männlichen up onto the Kleine Scheidegg. Grindelwald attracted its first guests – primarily the English – from the end of the 18th century onwards. Road and railway construction made Grindelwald much more accessible towards the end of the 19th century, which in turn also heralded the onset of winter tourism. The first cableway in the Alps was built here in 1908 on the Wetterhorn. And in 1912, a railway reached the Jungfraujoch via Kleine Scheidegg; today the «Top of Europe» still remains Europe’s highest railway station and a world-renowned excursion destination within permanent snow and ice. (more info: https://www.myswitzerland.com/en-ch/d...) KLEINE SHEIDEGG: It is a mountain pass at an elevation of 2,061 m (6,762 ft), situated below and between the Eiger and Lauberhorn peaks in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. The pass is traversed by a walking trail and the Wengernalp Railway, which both connect the villages of Grindelwald with Lauterbrunnen, passing through Wengen between the pass summit and Lauterbrunnen. From Interlaken Ost train station, one can reach Kleine Scheidegg in an hour and 15 minutes via Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald. On the way to the Kleine Scheidegg you pass through Alpine villages, meadows and forests as you approach the mighty glaciers of the Bernese Oberland. The Kleine Scheidegg is known for its stunning views of 3 Mountain Peaks - the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau as well as its mighty glaciers. Kleine Scheidegg is also a stopover on the way to the world-renowned Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. more info: https://www.jungfrau.ch/en-gb/kleine-... https://www.interlaken.ch/en/experien...
