This is a standalone upload of a track I made for the MINI-POWER! GM Roulette-8 collab album a few months ago with the DTM Midi Central discord server. The following is the liner notes for this song from the album: "Sound Source: GASHISOFT GXSCC It's called Pastiche because it's very obviously inspired by a prolific Japanese video game composer. (Hint: His initials are YY) The rolling of Sitar (GM 105) is doing a lot of the heavy-lifting here, as in GXSCC, it has a hard transient and lots of harmonic content relative to the other instruments in the selection. Tons of tricks here: pitch bending, octave doubling, panning LFOs, channel-based detune and echo on pretty much every instrument. During this project, I figured out you can use automation clips as notes, and playing those automation clips in the piano roll will trigger whatever automation the curve calls for, meaning you can do tracker-like auto-vibrato without having to manually insert a clip per-note. I also use this for the "drums" pitch envelope, they're moving across 2400 cents (2 octaves) for every hit. Composition time was 1 hour and 37 minutes according to FL Studio.
