2 Giant Tortoises Rescued From A 2 Story Condominium Roof In L.A.

These 2 Tortoises were on this roof for 3 Decades and their owner had died. If they were not taken off the roof by someone the city/county was going to euthanize them. Not going to happen on our watch, we headed out before daylight to be there as soon as the sun came up. We believe they are Sudanese Sub Species of the Sulcata Species. Our Reward is seen in the eyes of those we save, this was not done for money, but instead to save 2 lives. They will need immediate care and attention to address the many things they have had to just 'Deal With.' They are walking in a Free space seeing new things and ..... being Tortoises. We will dedicate our lives to make sure not just these 2 but all our Torts and Turtles live the best life possible ... What does that mean ... No obstacle is bigger than the need of the animal. We feel honored to be a part of their lives and will enjoy every moment we have with these Dinosaurs. Francisco and his guys were amazing and a true gift, their help was what was needed at that exact moment in time ... Coincidence? We think not! Joshua Tree Reptile Haven is a Forever Home Sanctuary, Harold and Tim will never have FEAR in their hearts again. We will spend everyday we have with them showing them LOVE and PEACE.
