Ginger has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (PK-6) with an Early Childhood Endorsement (PK-6) and a Master of Education in Administration with a Principal's Certification (EC-12). Ginger is a three-time recipient of the Who's Who Among America's Teachers award, was nominated for Disney Teacher of the Year and campus Teacher of the Year. Ginger is currently an Educational Specialist with hand2mind and shares the importance of hands-on learning using high quality lessons to develop Mathematical Problem Solvers with manipulatives and a variety of questioning strategies. Ginger coaches Math teachers to use research-based strategies rather than relying on ‘tricks’ to build a strong Mathematical foundation for our students, while differentiating to meet their various learning needs. As an Instructional Coach, Ginger spent a great deal of time researching best practices for developing numerical fluency with primary students. Ginger has a passion for adult and student learning; believing in the beauty of being an educator is continually having the opportunity to grow and improve in the craft to meet the ever-changing needs of students in today’s ever-changing society. After retirement, Ginger formed VMA Consult Group, LLC to continue serving educators with data analysis, resource alignment with state standards, lesson planning, classroom management, and much more.
