Join us in this video to experience a cold and stormy day in the village. From the very first morning we woke up, my mother fed the cows and goats and chopped the grass and poured it into the manger. I lit the oven and warmed myself with frozen hands by the fire. My sister brewed dried violets with snow and my mother made dough with flour and violet juice. My uncle brought us sheep liver and I chopped it with potatoes, tomatoes and onions and cooked it on the fire in the oven. We sat together and enjoyed a delicious traditional meal. After the meal, I poured some yogurt into a clay pot and stirred it to make fresh local butter. I fetched water from the spring and prepared the butter. My mother also roasted the wheat on the fire and ground it with a grinder, and finally enjoyed a delicious traditional dessert with tea.
