War is abound between two nations. Welcome to Chapter 4: Roadside Battle. Roadside Battle has us not facing off against bandits or pirates. We face off against something worse: Daein troops. It gets worse because this is difficult mode and that is more challenging. There are more troops and it'll require you to have a lot of patience and persistence. Also you get a new party member: Soren. Soren is a Wind Mage. Like in Fire Emblem 4, Fire Emblem 9 has a Magic Triangle system. Wind beats Thunder, Thunder beats Fire and Fire beats Wind. Sadly however Light and Dark don't beat all three. Having a mage like Soren is very useful if you want to take down Knights that have heavy defense but low resistance. You'll have to take your time with it because in Hard Mode, Soren can go down easily but if you level him up enough, he should be avoiding attacks. At the end, we quell these troops but it seems that Elincia has told us of what we fear. War is coming and no one is safe.
