Note: First of all, the use of fast forwarding is heavily endorsed. I obviously know this meme is false, but since boredom took control of my thoughts, I just randomly decided to do this. Demonstrating that there's more to the game than using Plume over and over. If it's really the best offense in the game, surely it would be the most damaging move (and thus be able to outclass just about every other offense), right? Let's find out. Just for raffs (and to keep my sanity in check for chip ses- I mean the slaughter that Plume will totally be causing), I'll be upgrading the Blades as the game goes on, but only for the instances where I use nothing but Plume. Every other time, I'll play with Lv 1 BoC. 0:00 First battle against ULs (Plume only) 3:13 Same, but focusing on 360 toss (leading to collisions and possibly ringouts) 4:18 Deck Hydra (Plume only) 5:54 Same, but with a focus on quick heavy attacks 6:54 First battle in the Docks of Athens (Plume only, Lv 2 BoC) 8:09 Same, but focusing on collisions 8:53 First Minotaur encounter (Plume only, Lv 2 BoC) 10:19 Same, but focusing on air grabs 10:46 Medusa (Plume only, Lv 2 BoC) 13:40 Same, but abusing the OH lock 14:28 Gorgons/Minotaur/CL encounter (Plume only, Lv 3 BoC) 18:04 Same, but using a variety of things (grabs, petrification, RO) 20:01 Cyclops fight in the Town Square (Plume only, Lv 3 BoC) 23:58 Same, but focusing on petrification 24:12 First fight against Wraiths (Plume only, Lv 3 BoC) 28:05 Same, but using a variety of things (grabs, petrification, collisions) 30:00 Temple Sirens (Plume only, obviously using Lv 4 BoC) 32:55 Same, but focusing on petrification (and to a much lesser extent, OH) 33:32 Again, same, but using Lv 2 PR and petrification 33:54 Cyclops Desert Kings (Plume only, Lv 4 BoC) 36:39 Same, but focusing on petrification (and throwing PR into the mix) 37:20 Hades' Shield trap (Plume only, Lv 5 BoC) 39:09 Same, but focusing on half collisions (basically PAIN NGR+) 40:56 Same, but focusing on petrification 42:05 Same, but focusing on 360 toss (leading to multiple collisions) 43:01 Fallen Legionnaires (Plume only, Lv 5 BoC) 43:33 Same, but working the enviro-hazard 43:58 Same, but focusing on collisions 44:17 Atlas' Handle room (Plume only, Lv 5 BoC) 45:28 Same, but working ammo against Sirens (and using Arty here and there) 46:18 Same, but using petrification 47:04 Same, but using Lv 3 PR That's quite a lot of time stamps. Note: Compare the time it takes to kill a Temple Siren with Plume + Lv 4 BoC, with the time it takes to kill the same enemy with OH). Notice how 'useful' upgrades (higher numbers) can be when compared to having proper knowledge about the games' mechanics. Note 2: Might have been good to use Zf 'charge' against Temple Sirens (and other stuff), just to speed things up (and use other things when you inevitably run out of MP), but sadly I overwrote my save file (and only now I came up with this idea **will be sure to correct this in P2**). How would the use of that spell (the worst) compare against the mighty Plume (what's perceived to be the best offense, according to the memes)? If you've understood the point of the video by now, you'd know the answer. Note 3: Someone without proper knowledge might argue that the Plume showing in the Hades' Shield bit might have some room for improvement, being a second or so slower than the 'PAIN NGR+' showing, but the same can be said for the latter (to a much bigger degree). This without getting into NUR+ NGR+ (where I could've used petrification to further speed things up), it's just that... well... being able to ONLY match a showing with such severe restrictions... this should make you think about where Plume stands in terms of killing things 'fast'.
