This guided meditation follows the traditional loving-kindness (Metta) practice. The session begins with calming awareness of breathing, allowing the body and mind to settle into a relaxed and steady state. From that calm foundation, the meditation gradually develops a sincere sense of goodwill. The practice moves step by step: first offering kindness to someone you care about, then directing the same wishes toward yourself, followed by a neutral person, a person who may be difficult, and finally extending loving-kindness to all living beings everywhere. Metta meditation supports emotional balance, softens resentment, quiets self-criticism, and encourages empathy and connection with others. Practiced regularly, it helps transform the way we relate to ourselves and the world around us.
