Installation of 750W Keenovo silicone AC heater on a CR-10 3d printer. The heater is fixed on a fine milled casted aluminum plate (5mm thick). In this video I show my alternative relay based safety implementation, however the most secure option remains the use of a thermal fuse screwed to the plate. Best is to use Mic6 aluminum plate if you are in US. Casted 5083 aluminum plates will also do if you limit the plate power ratio in Klipper/Marlin firmware to 0.7 or 0.8, so it heats up a bit slower. The keywords are: casted, fine milled, stress relieved. For the Solid State Relays (SSR) I used overrated 25 A relays (although 10 A is fine also, but the price is very close so take 25 A). The fuse should touch the aluminum plate, not the silicone heater. If the silicone heater doesn’t cover all the plate the mounting is easy, else you have to mount it on the edge (5mm).
