Homemade soap is really easy, don’t be intimidated by the lye. It is simple and easy and with just a little precaution you will do just fine. For jewel weed soap you could also dry a little and add into the soap. Basic Soap recipe: 20 oz. Oil (lard, Coconut oil, Olive oil, ETC...) 8 1/2 oz. water 3 oz. lye Heat oils together to about 120 - 125 Mix lye into the water - let sit until it reaches same temp as oil Mix those together and use hand blender to blend until trace is reached Add essential oil or crushed herbs as desired while blending.
