The Neuro-Lux® is a shoulder brace designed to stabilise and manage pain in the shoulder joint for individuals with flaccid paralysis following a stroke. The brace stabilizes the shoulder joint, improves repositioning of the humerus, corrects shoulder subluxation, and medial rotation through optimised traction and an intimate fit. The brace facilitates the repositioning of the humeral head in the shoulder socket, reducing shoulder pain and preventing secondary damage to the articular capsule, tendons, muscles, or nerves. It also helps to prevent shoulder-hand syndrome. The brace is crafted from a soft and breathable material to provide freedom of movement, allowing unrestricted use of the affected arm. The diagonal strap guidance promotes external rotation. The two cross-jointed and dynamic lifting straps help in resetting the force during outward rotation of the shoulder joint. The chest strap belt is easy to handle when opening and closing. The conically-shaped arm element provides pressure-free comfort, and the bobbled adhesive strip can be put on and taken off with one hand. The shoulder piece is made from a thermoplastic material, offering active correction and an optimal fit.
