THE WEDDING DATE (2005) is a classic rom-com about a busy career woman who hires a male escort to be her date to her sister’s wedding. A tale as old as time. This movie fascinates me because: 1) I thought it was SO SEXY when it first came out. And 2) I don’t think they could remake this movie today. Between OF and social media, things have changed too much. This was also one of the first videos I filmed with my new mic, so I was still figuring it out. I mean, I’m actually STILL trying to figure it out now. As I type this. I'm not sure why I'm having so much trouble with audio after trying two different mics, two different computers, and incorporating Audacity filters. I might actually go back to a condenser mic. (I caved and ordered a new Yeti. So that'll be mic number three.) I also watched the video after uploading it, and I hear peaking in the audio on YouTube that isn't there in the raw file. Great. There’s a lot of content that involves wigs after this. I’m really into wigs now. If I can buy a $10 wig that’s on-theme for a video, I’m doing it. Upcoming Videos: -Revisiting a classic animated movie with more boobs than I expected. (This video was filmed with the old mic. I just didn’t want to have too much wig-based content back to back, so I wanted to get The Wedding Date out first. I don’t always post things in the order I film them. In fact, this one may not even be next. We’ll see.) -More of a traditional video essay about a previously dead franchise that’s up for a reboot. This’ll take a long while to edit. -A short video discussing a very small and random aspect of the Sailor Moon franchise. I took a little editing break after the Beetlejuice copyright shenanigans, so I’m really off track with the schedule that lives in my head.
