My history dissolved. The boundaries between 'me' and 'not-me' disappeared. I looked for myself and found nothing. Where 'Ibn Arabi' had been, there was only Allah. Not that I became Allah—this is impossible and blasphemous. But that the illusion of 'Ibn Arabi' as a separate, independent entity completely vanished. What remained was the recognition: There is only ONE existence, and that existence is Allah's.
