Winter Hiking Santanoni, Couchsachraga and Panther Peak | Adirondacks NY

Winter Round of the Santanoni Range witch Includes Santanoni Peak, Couchsachraga and Panther peak! We started this day by going up Santanoni Express and it was supposidly broken out a few days prior... It wasnt, so we broke trail through 1 to 2 foot of snow all the way up to the summit of Santanoni! It was epic and soo much fun. I never realized how steep Santanoni express was untill the winter round. Santanoi is so steep i kept sliding backwords trying to climb. It reminded me of allen but bigger and longer! It was a perfect day with the temps hoving around freezing. The wind speeds on Santanoni were 35mph and by the time we got to Couchsachraga it picked up to 50 mph. We made it to Panther right as a storm was blowing through and it was a mix of Rain/snow/sleet. The snow started sticking to our feet but thankfully this was only on the last 3 mile home stretch!
