October Sweet Pepper Harvest

We are now in the second half of October and believe it or not our pepper plants are still healthy and covered in peppers! The weather is getting colder now though, so we decided that we wouldn’t risk leaving the peppers on the plants any longer. It would be such a shame to loose them all now! Most of the crop was grown in a single raised bed in a very sunny spot in the garden, and a couple of plants were located in our small polytunnel. We were so happy with the crop this year, undoubtedly our biggest crop yet. Even in the north of England it is possible to grow peppers outside very successfully, probably due to the warmer summers we get these days. We hope this episode of our vegetable growing vlog inspires you to try growing some peppers yourself!
