This is the virtual cannabis seminar I delivered for Pharmaceutics 2020 on 9/21/2020 in my bedroom, updated on 1/11/2021. I talk about cannabis chemistry, terminology, botany & uses of cannabis/hemp & terpenes in food/beverage, cosmetics & pharma. Its my second time posting a science vid on YouTube, I bought a new Fifine microphone to improve my sound quality & I know now that Beyonce would be proud (Jay-Z would be proud cuz he has a 420 Biz)..... Hi Everyone, where ever you are on the globe! I'd like to dedicate my YouTube channel to Cannabis. Cannabis has totally changed my life & career forever! I have a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences & worked in pharma industry for 10 yr. I got a call out of the blue from a Colorado CEO 3 mo. after I got laid off from my job as Principal Scientist @ a skincare CMO in North Carolina (company went bankrupt & 500 people in NC & FL lost their jobs). I started developing cannabis products in my kitchen, CEOs contacted me after seeing my Linkedin & soon I was working with another 8 companies developing a variety of different products, each company wanted something different from me. A company in Maryland I consulted for made me Chief Scientific Officer 12/2019 & I moved back to Maryland January 3, 2021. I survived on my own as a cannabis consultant for 15 months, which was incredible to experience! Within 1.5 years I connected w/over 8,000 cannabis MDs, lawyers, CEOs, etc, was invited to speak at 4 conferences, invited to speak to students @ 2 Universities, published 4 cannabis articles in U.S. & European trade magazines (posted on my Linkedin profile & here), developed 30 products for humans & pets, & put together a quality system for GMP at Groovy Waves! It’s been a wonderful ride over the past 2+ years & I’m working w/some great people. I’ve achieved more global success in 2+ years in cannabis than 13 yr. in pharma, amazing. I’ve already been told that I received IFAHs Top 100 Healthcare Leaders Award in 2020. I was supposed to attend the awards ceremony in December 2020, but it’s been postponed until April so it’s funny Ill be flying to Vegas on 4-20-2021. I've been laid off 3x before but I think it’s hilarious that despite the global pandemic I’ve kept my job. I assisted CIAN Diagnostics w/COVID testing & helping them on the biotech side. I helped CIAN get the state testing contract (nursing homes & schools) with Maryland by tweeting & writing letters to all Senators/Congressmen in MD, DC, & VA. CIAN has been testing up to 100,000 patients/week, it’s been great seeing their business greatly expand. I'm grateful for the MDs, CEOs, lawyers, etc., that believed in me & helped totally transform my life & career forever with cannabis!
