You Won't Believe What This Garden Hoe Looks Like After A Complete Restoration

This week’s garden hoe restoration is extra special—it's a gift for my mom! 🌱 I found this rusty, concrete-covered garden hoe being used as lawn decor. It had no handle, heavy corrosion, and years of neglect. I brought it to the workshop and began a full transformation. First, I chiselled and wire-brushed away the dried concrete, then removed the rust with acid. After neutralizing and wire-brushing the metal clean, I reshaped the blade and sharpened the edge. I cold-blued and oiled the metal to protect it and deepen the colour. Next came the custom handle. Using a hand plane I previously restored, I shaped and fitted the handle, sanded and stained it, and sealed it with linseed oil. After polishing and final assembly, the tool was ready—and it’s now back in the garden doing real work again! 📸 Follow Us on Social Media!
