John Elliott Pushes Womenswear at Spring/Summer 2019 Show

John Elliott understands that entering into womenswear changes things. The principles stay the same, paced along the same streetwear momentum that powered his burgeoning men’s line, but represent something wholly else when all the nuances that shaped up the women’s collection are taken into consideration. His inaugural women’s collection debuted during the Fall/Winter 2018 season at New York Fashion Week and his recent Spring/Summer show, inspired by Los Angeles and to which he calls home, saw to a larger emphasis on silhouettes and proportions, layered under and over tie dyed silks and sporty French terry sweat.
