In this English lesson I will talk about the words, "like" and "love". In English we use either "like" or "love" when speaking about things, activities, or people that bring us joy. As you learn English it is important that you know when you should use "like" and when you should use "love". Native English speakers use the word like to talk about activities or things that bring them joy, and they use the word love to talk about activities or things that bring them MORE joy. Love is greater than like when talking in English about things or activities. When it comes to talking about people, it is important for those learning English to know that we use "like" to talk about people that we enjoy being around, and that we reserve the use of the word "love" for the people in our families and those who we love in a romantic way. I thought with Valentine's Day coming soon, I should make an English lesson on the topic of love so I will also go over several English phrases that have the word "love" in them. I hope this this English lesson will help you learn when to use "like" and when to use "love" when speaking English and I hope you enjoyed learning a few more English phrases! Have a great day! ⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned! -- ✅ Support Me: 😀💲 If you have lots of money and would like to support me, here is the link for channel memberships: / @learnenglishwithbobthecanadian Note: My videos will always be free, and becoming a member does not come with any perks other than a cool crown beside your name during live streams and when making comments.
