Little Magic - Go-Fast 273 Small Block Takes Shape (Full Build Recipe, Cam Selection, And Much More)

It's been quite some time since I first announced my intentions to build a spicy 273 for drag racing use in my 1966 Plymouth Barracuda project. But the plan has never been fully cemented - until now. Today, I've finally got a freshly machined 273 LA engine block ready to go, and a pile of special speed parts for this small-inch underdog engine. In this video, I want to go over the complete build plan for this unit top to bottom, including my final piston and rod choices, camshaft selection, and my basic plan for the factory type closed chamber cylinder heads. Along the way, we'll discuss just how similar this concoction will be to the little-known D/Dart drag racing engine from 1966. Let's dig in.
