The pride and joy of some ancient corporation's cybernetics division. However, in this age of nanotechnologic enhancement and "wetware", Caustic's antiquity shows. Exposed hydraulics and the static-dissipation curcuitry protruding from its back all indicate a unit of at least four centuries of age. Cursory inspection of Caustic's remaining organic tissue would seem to indicate human physiology. However, it could be any one of a number of species. In addition, the barcode located on the shoulders would seem to indicate the unit was one of a series of units produced. It may have been an early attempt at an cybernetically-enhanced soldier. WARNING: All caution should be taken when dealing with Caustic. The centuries have done little to dull this unit's agility and ferocity. Recommendation: A more thorough examination is hazardous and ultimately pointless. Caustic is to live and die in the Arena. END TRANSMISSION ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INCOMING TRANSMISSION Surveyors for the Arena Eternal Species Aquistition corps are returning with a sampling of a previously unknown species from their expedition into sector D892V. Only one specimen of the sample, however, survived the planetary extraction process and subsequent unit storage. Preliminary combat testing and conditioning of the remaining specimen seem to indicate that the species will be good candidates for combat assimilation. The surviving specimen shows attributes unique to the other units collected in sector D892V. It seems to have the ability to harness an energy bearing a striking resemblance to the arcane powers of Our Ever Holy and Potent Arena Masters (though at diminutive levels of power by comparison, of course). This may well explain the unit's survival of the sampling process as well as its above-average performance in combat testing. It is surmised that in its culture this was a primitive warlock or shaman of some sort. Recommendation: Obviously, no effort need be taken to attempt communication or determine the specimen's cultural given-name. It shall, from this day forward be known as Arena Warrior # 9745Z.
