On 9 October ’25, we unveiled the new home of Standard Chartered Global Business Services (GBS) India at DLF Downtown, Tharamani, Chennai, making it our largest global office hub. This state-of-the-art facility brings together over 13,000 colleagues across banking, technology and operations, further strengthening India’s role as a key innovation and operations hub for Standard Chartered globally. The new centre was officially inaugurated in a traditional Tamil ceremony by our all-women powerhouse of global leaders – Tanuj Kapilashrami - Chief Strategy and Talent Officer, Noelle Eder - Group Head, Technology and Operations, and Shelley Boland - Global Head, Corporate Real Estate and Services. They were joined for the traditional lamp lighting by Manish Singh - Head, CRES, India, ASEAN & South Asia and Sanjay Rao – Cluster CFO, GBS. Built to global standards in sustainability and well-being, the workspace reimagines how we work, with smart water recycling systems, abundant natural light, wellness-first amenities and digitally enabled environments that foster collaboration and creativity, while contributing considerably to our global network.
