https://nukli.bandcamp.com/   / nukli.band   PSi Nukli (later just Nukli) are a Psychedelic Space Rock band from London who were one of the regular bands playing at the famous free festivals of the 1980s & 1990s. Like many of the festival bands from that time various members fluctuated between bands or at least played gigs with other bands (Nukli, Ozric Tentacles, Ullulators, Oroonies, Ednas Horror Toilet, Eat Static, etc, etc) & although they all have their own 'trademark' sound they all share the same Psychedellic/Space Rock/Dub DNA in their music. At the time they didnt have the funds or means to record top quality sounding albums, instead they produced their own cassettes which were distributed around audience members at gigs. Fast forward to 2022 and many of these recordings are well sought after. Luckily many of the bands had the foresight to keep their masters (or original recordings) and they have been digitally restored and remastered to digital. Although there are some (VERY) annoying radio & TV samples between tracks, the vast majority of the music & musicianship is of the very highest quality and their are some real gems on them. All of Nuklis recordings are available on their Bandcamp page and at very reasonable prices! They have also released some newer recordings on there. I Can also confirm that their t-shirts are of the very highest quality! This track 'Ascent' features some superb Hillage type guitar work from Kev Hegan and also features former Ozric Tentacles bass player Roly Wynne, bother of Ed Wynne. Sadly Roly died in 1999.
