Vertical shaft Kohler Command engine broken governor fix

Internal governor engine repair on a single cylinder vertical shaft Kohler Command engine. The plastic governor gear appeared to be pretty worn and no longer stayed clipped in its place on the shaft, that is what I believe led to the cap falling to the bottom of the engine. Replaced it with a new gear that snapped right in place. There is no gasket for the main engine bottom plate, it is “simply” silicone sealed and put back together- note that you DO NOT cover the oil passage to the main bearing with silicone.
