Biking home I decided to skip the car exhaust on York Street and go up Simcoe before jogging over to University. It's annoying, but until they extend the University bike lanes farther south, it is preferable to standing in line with the cars under the train tracks. A couple of dingbats in a porsche with the top down decided to rev their way a whole block, showing everyone just how cool they are. So if you recognize them, let them know we were all very impressed. Traffic on Queen's Park Crescent was quite dense because of some construction work (again, it's always construction, not bike lanes) which reduced the road down to 1 lane. I was going to sit in line with everyone, but decided there was enough room to get by and traffic was going slowly enough that it was safe. Heading west on Bloor Street I had the sun in my eyes off and on, and I'd forgotten to wear my sunglasses, but it wasn't a big deal because I kept getting stuck behind slow pokes (on e-bikes by the way!). The weather has been kinda perfect this week, aside from the wind now and then. Cool enough that I'm not too sweaty by the end, but warm enough that my fingers aren't numb either. I'm not looking forward to November, which is the worst month on the calendar, but I've got rain gear and I'll manage.
