assalamualaikum wr wb.. good morning!! ----- obturation with MODIFIED continuous wave obturation with bioceramic sealer (ceraseal) in mandibular left first molar more videos are available at / riosuryantoro and follow my instagram at / riosuryantoro ----- the CONTINUOUS WAVE OBTURATION technique with warm gutta-percha produces consistently dense, dimen- sionally stable, 3- dimensional root canal fillings and has been developed to fill canal irregularities more effectively than is possible with cold gutta-percha. here i used fast fill warm gutta percha extruder (eighteeth) injected into the canals. bioceramic sealer is another calcium silicate material highly radiopaque, no shrinkage, hydrophilic, forming hydroxyapatite upon setting. The setting reaction is also a hydration reaction. It contains monocalcium phosphate which is responsible for hydroxyapatite formation in situ. bioceramics are not sensitive to moisture and blood contamination and therefore are not technique sensitive. They are dimensionally stable and expand slightly. When set, they are hard, allowing full compaction of a final restoration, and they are insoluble over time, ensuring a superior long-term seal. When setting, the pH is above 12 due to the hydration reaction, which first forms calcium hydroxide and then dissociates into calcium and hydroxyl ions. please refer to the literatures for more scientific infos.. ----- thanks for watching!
